Sometimes they change things for the movie version, one can only hope. UGH! Girls want to be like this? Bella is such a victim! I hope the movie is better than the book. Kill me Edward so we can be in high school forever. She had a birthday, now she's older than him. Gee, when will Edward show up to save her sorry self? But she's not worthy. Bella is about to get almost raped AGAIN by the same guys from the last book as she stands in the street like an imbecile. I have not even made it thorough the 2nd book but I am not sure I can.

Maybe I am not supposed to, but that is that impression I got from all the press I read about it. Harry appealed to young and old, boys and girls, and I do not get that from this series. I can't believe this has reached Harry numbers as far as sales go and it is very directed at teenage girls and younger. People keep comparing this to the Harry Potter books but they must mean in terms of devotion of the fans. I know this series is hugely popular, which the reason I picked it up, but I don't know why anyone past junior high would read this. Sorry, guess I am not a 9-year old girl because I don't know who else would put up with this. 'My boyfriend left me and now I have no reason to go on. If you like your main character a whiney, self absorbed loser with no self esteem, then this is your book. I kept waiting for the characters to grow on me but all that grew was my sense of irratation. I am not sure why I was stupid enough to get the 2nd book when I barely made it through the first one.
